“RAINDROPS ON YELLOW FLOWER" is my own composition painted from a reference photo taken by me on a visit to Shillong, Meghalaya. The morning was fresh and green and a short spell of rain added to freshness in the atmosphere.
This painting was done with Watercolour on 300gsm/140lb Cold Pressed Bockingford watercolour paper. The colour used for the background was Indigo. Indigo is a very fun colour and I experimented with it by applying thick pigment which brought a texture to the background.
